We as artists have a lot to offer or so they say…
I love mentoring youngsters in the business of becoming an artist as well as teaching skills. Stephanie Stephanie Spangler

I am a former student of Anthe’s and can highly recommend her as an art teacher. Anthe tutored me for about 3 ˝ years during high school, which helped prepare me for college level art classes. She taught me the importance of carefully studying the subject I was drawing in order to improve my artistic technique. I feel that I greatly benefited from her instruction and improved my skills significantly. If I had not taken private lessons with Anthe I honestly do not feel that I would have been prepared enough to work at the level that was expected of me once I began college as an art major.
I am now a graduate of Messiah College with a B.A. in Studio Art and a concentration in drawing. During my time at Messiah I won two major awards in the school’s juried art show that runs every summer. First was the Student Work Sophomore Award for a painting I did and the second was the Best in Show Award for a collaborative piece I worked on my senior year. I know that without Anthe’s help in fine tuning my artistic skills I would never have been able to create something that earned me these honors. Anyone who is seriously interested in improving their own artistic abilities and learning to see things with an artist’s perspective should have no reservations about studying with Anthe as their instructor. My time under her tutelage was not only important but enjoyable as well.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Spangler
One of my former apprentices wrote me this comment on her experience in 2007. Since then she has moved from her furniture design job to opening her own business where she offers a fine line of stationery and paper products. She utilizes her own unique designs as well as other talented artists. I am proud to say she has produced several of my works on cards and invitations for her clients.

A Recommendation for an outstanding teacher…
I first met Anthe in 1997 and began working as her apprentice soon after. Through this work I learned lessons essential to operating a studio. As I was a Fine Art major in high school, Anthe honed my skills in a practical way, which has helped me in my career. Having graduated from Philadelphia University in May of 2003, I have used my experience with Anthe throughout my college career and to this day.
With Anthe I learned about marketing myself as well as my work. I was exposed to art shows and the value of networking. Using my own talents combined with lessons learned, I was able to work my way through school painting murals, the first of which I completed soon after my 19th birthday. In college I majored in industrial design, more specifically known as product and furniture design, but I constantly reflect on my fine arts education.
Anthe taught me the importance and practicality of scheduling and task management, which I still use today as a designer of custom cabinetry systems. It was through working with Anthe that I gained the confidence that I have, which makes me feel that I have the problem solving abilities to tackle any task.
Anthe has been a wonderful mentor and a great friend to me, keeping my focus where it needs to be as she continues to share her knowledge and network with me. The experience of working closely with such a teacher has helped to shape my life and my career. Though I am not a fine artist by trade, the skills I have gained through fine arts training has shaped my mind in a way that I can look at any problem and approach a solution through creative problem solving. 2007
