Teaching/Classes Parents, Fellow Art Teachers, Project Co-Ordinators and Principals, I am a working professional artist with my studio in Flourtown. I work with schools as well as private institutions with the goal of establishing or working within artist residency programs. ARTIST RESIDENCIES} I can and have taught workshops on many subjects, Printmaking, painting, collage, mixed media, and murals to name a few. I have exchange projects in printmaking, and mural installation projects ready for immediate placement in any institution. I have letters of reference, press releases, cr-164 report, and PA child abuse clearance available upon request. I also give private instruction in Acv Studio to serious minded young budding artists who are looking to expand their drawing, painting, and printmaking abilities. I enjoy working with these individuals to help them find their own voice through their work. Honing their skills and in some cases developing a portfolio for entrance to an art school of their choosing. PRIVATE INSTRUCTION} I teach private art instruction in Acv Studio to several middle school and high school students. My philosphy is that one is born with talent and I can not teach someone to draw or paint only hone their skills by teaching them to draw, paint, and or sculpt. What I do is to teach them to see, truly see, and to draw, paint, and or sculpt what that is instead of what they think they see. I believe that this is one of the most important aspects of teaching that an art teacher can give their students...vision. Caricature - Cartoon Portraits I have been a caricaturist since 1990, accommodating private & business functions alike. My caricatures are fun, flattering likeness of people. I specialize in Cartoon Portraits which are head and shoulders only and take between 5-7 min. in color and 4-6 min in black & white per person. Samples can be found in this collection. Caricatures of the person with humorously drawn bodies are also available with each drawing taking approx. 10-12 min in color and are even quicker in black-n-white. I work on acid free paper, which is placed in a plastic bag for safe keeping. The perfect party favor or gift! Cartoon Portraits are usually provided 8.5"x11" 11"x14" or 11"x17". Other sizes are available by special request... Individual caricatures are available by sittings in studio or by mail. Price quotes vary according to the complexity of the job.
