I recently have had a lot of time on my hands and very little time on my feet. I had my large left toe joint replaced. The first week I found myself a permanent fixture in my bed watching TV. reading, and on the computer far more than I care to be. The second week I was able to get up a bit more, so I would go to the studio and sit and work on projects. I find myself returning to making many of my gifts by hand as well as the cards that attach them. The most recent gift was a present for a baby shower I was attending. It was for a baby girl who already had been named Lola. I started creating this masterpiece with materials that were easy for me to use and close at hand; markers, paper, scissors, and glue. I created what I call my “Word-art Name-sake Paper-cuts.” I created the designs in marker, cut them out, pasted them down, and embellished them with gold leaf or silver leaf pen as well as background designs.
I have been utilizing many supplies that I already posses which is helping me to increase sales profitability in difficult times as well as continue to create fun and exciting new pieces. I have always loved creating crafts as well as my fine art. Right now with the economy I have developed a creative fun new way to reach out to new mommies, their parents & / or grandparents and others by creating these Word-art images which are appealing works that are affordable.
Since the baby shower where the present was well received I have received several commissions for other Word-art pieces. I have posted a few on line under my

The little boy’s piece Aiden as well as Sophia have been ordered along with another that I am currently working on for Christmas. This person was really thinking ahead. It will give them plenty of time to shop for the right frames. Sophia’s was created to go in a soft shabby chique room while Aidens was to go in a powder blue boy’s room requiring sports and fishing theme. He had also written a song called the pineapple song and loves the violin so they have all been incorporated to make the perfect gift for his aunt to give him for the holidays. They are a very unique gift for birthdays, christenings, baptismals, bar-bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, or any occasion.
If you are interested in having me design a Word Art piece for someone special or for yourself please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail me with the name, colors, theme, for a child their age, or any other information that you think will help me design the perfect piece for you also make sure to include your phone number so I can get back to you and work out the details.
Thanks for reading and letting me share with you through my blog page.

I can’t imagine the talent you have. Your work is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Greece scenes. I was also impressed by the numbers of paintings you have done…really impressive.
Good fortune. I’m sure in times like these, sales are harder; but art lovers usually abound. May they abound your way.
Yes, spring is here. Before long we’ll be outside every day…can’t wait.
Take care.
